"THY SON LIVETH"

A news item which we copy from the Hamilton, O., Republican-News, answers in part at least the question so frequently asked, Why are so many persons attracted to Christian Science, and why do they become members of the Church? This paper says,—

Hamilton friends were informed this morning that Mayor and Mrs. William F. Thomas have joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Hamilton. It has been known for some time that both Mrs. Thomas and the Mayor were interested in Christian Science, but their intention formally to embrace its creed was not definitely confirmed until to-day. Mrs. Thomas said to the Republican-News to-day:—

"It is true that Mr. Thomas and I have embraced Christian Science. Our little son had been from his earliest infancy delicate and anemic, so that we feared he could not live to maturity. Friends suggested to us that we try the methods of Christian Science on his behalf, and this led us to an investigation of the subject. To-day our son is a perfectly healthy boy, and we feel that he has been restored to us through Christian Science. It was this that led us to embrace the faith."
