It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I acknowledge my healing through Christian Science. I received treatment in August, 1898, and I have never taken any material remedies since. I was healed of many ailments, among them lung and heart trouble. The doctor said that the lung trouble was very serious, and I had a continual pain in my side. The doctor told me that I would have to use morphine all the time, as I could not stand the pain without it. Although I have had a great sorrow, my Bible gives me strong assurance of God's presence in all times of need. I was under medical treatment constantly for over twenty years, and I can now say that Christian Science has completely healed me, and this is only a small part of the work it has done for me. The greatest of all is the spiritual uplifting—the knowing that God is no respecter of persons, and that "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). I am indeed grateful for Christian Science.
