THE BODY'S BEST FRIEND

Outside of Christian Science we find many people who have awakened to the injurious effects of the drugging system, and who are quite ready to condemn the use of drugs even before becoming practically acquainted with the body's best friend. The discovery of the transcendent power of divine Mind cannot be made until one comes face to face with Christian Science, for there is no other teaching, religious or otherwise, before the world to-day that advocates and practises the healing efficacy of Spirit or Mind.

Christian Science discards all material remedies; not simply because these remedies have been tried and found wanting, but because the Principle of right thinking and its activity in individual consciousness has revealed the unbroken spiritual friendship existing between Mind and its own ideas or embodiment. For nineteen centuries this friendship had practically been lost sight of by suffering humanity, when Christian Science voiced to the world, through its Discoverer, Mrs. Eddy, the momentous fact that all causation is mental. This naturally leads to the conclusion that it is just as erroneous to feed the body on wrong thoughts and beliefs as to dose it with poisonous drugs. When this conviction obtains, one is ready to prove to his entire satisfaction the available supremacy of divine Mind and to decide once for all that the best and only friend of the body is Mind.

The world owes a debt of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for this much-needed discovery and for her practical presentation and demonstration of its claims. Thousands of earnest Christian people are daily adopting it into their lives, with more satisfactory results than they ever experienced through the use of drugs or any other material remedies. They are learning to give no power to matter for good or for evil, since finding out that all power belongs to Mind, God. This is the reason that Christian Scientists think and speak kindly of the advocates of materia medica, knowing that it is only through ignorance of the nature and power of divine Mind that they are led to look into matter for cause and cure, or to persecute those who believe in and practise Christian healing.
