At the age of five years our little son was taken with severe stomach trouble, accompanied with fever and headache. In about two weeks he had another attack, and we called in the nearest physician. The attacks gradually increased in violence, until at the end of four years we were nearly distracted at his condition. Christian Science was brought to our notice at the end of the second year, by a dear sister whose case of healing was very beautiful, but I spurned her advice, and said that if I were to put my boy in a Scientist's hands, and anything should happen to him, I could never forgive myself. I did not then realize that it was in God's hands I should be placing him. Five of the best doctors had treated the case, and all were agreed that the symptoms were very alarming. When all hope had gone, and when we thought he must leave us, my sister came again with the Christ-message, and we were then ready for it. We placed his case in the Scientist's hands, but with little or no faith that this would help him. I am thankful to add that the child was healed, to the doctor's amazement, and without one drop of medicine. It is now four years since then, and he still continues to be a very healthy child. A few months ago we met the doctor who had his case last; he smiled, laid his hand on my boy's head, and said, "And you have had nothing but the Scientist's treatment?" and when I said "No;" he remarked, "I am glad for you; he surely looks healthy enough now." Surely "if God be for us, who can be against us?"

This wonderful truth has gained such power in our consciousness that its light is our light, and it is leading us "into all truth." We have had many proofs of Truth's power over all error, showing us that God is Love, and now I am eager to point the way to others. Our lives have been greatly benefited; the way is much brighter; and Christian Science has indeed made our home a very different one.
