This testimony is given as a slight proof of gratitude...
This testimony is given as a slight proof of gratitude for benefits received through Christian Science. I was an invalid for five years, and scarcely knew a moment free from pain. Doctors tried one remedy after another, but the relief was only temporary. I had several diseases, including an abnormal growth, rheumatic trouble, and deafness. Christian Science was presented to me, and I attended a Wednesday evening meeting. While there such a sense of peace came to me that I decided that I wanted to know more of Christian Science. I continued going to the meetings and borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I read like one starved for the truth (as I then was). My first thought on awakening every morning was to read more about God's world, and to find my place in it, where I could praise Him for giving us this truth through our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I soon gave up the doctor and medicine and took Christian Science treatment. The healing was slow, but the joy that came with it was something I had never before known. I was perfectly healed, and now after six years I can say the Scripture has been fulfilled for me, as I can "walk and not be weary" and am in better health than ever before. I owe everything to Christian Science, and my gratitude is too deep for words.—Mrs. Ida C. White, Jersey City, N. J.
