For fifteen years I had been a sufferer from what the specialists called a serious throat trouble, which was growing worse as the years went by. I had spent a small fortune on operations, etc., until a famous specialist told me to waste no more money on medical treatment, as the only relief that could come to me would be from complete rest during the attacks. As I was solely dependent on my voice for my livelihood, the outlook seemed very dreadful to me. When Christian Science found me I was sick with discouragement and fear. I shall never forget my first visit to a Christian Science practitioner. and especially her reading and explanation of the 91st Psalm. Never had I heard anything so beautiful, and I left after my first treatment with a great sense of peace and joy.

For years my first thought in the morning had been anxiety as to the condition of my throat, and I continued in this fear until I learned from our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, that Mind is the source of all action; then the awful fear left me and I was thoroughly healed, not only of the throat trouble, but also of other ailments from which I had suffered since childhood. For the past four years we have not used any material remedies in our family. My son was kicked in the abdomen by a horse one afternoon, but was able to go fishing the next morning, and later was healed of a well-developed attack of lung trouble in one night, going to school as usual the next morning. One day my face and arms were scalded with boiling water, and the healing was almost instantaneous. I was able to go out within an hour with scarcely a mark on my face.

I cannot express my gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, who has taught us how to demonstrate this wonderful healing truth. I am most grateful for the understanding of how to uncover error in my own consciousness and cast it out, knowing that God alone does heal us of all our sickness and sin.
