At one time I was greatly prejudiced against Christian Science...

At one time I was greatly prejudiced against Christian Science; in fact, I was so stubborn that I would not give it a thorough investigation, although I had ample opportunity to do so; but when sickness and disease had seemingly destroyed my once rugged constitution, and when I had been confined to the bed for over three months, racked with such pain and suffering that many times I longed to die, then I was ready to accept Christian Science. I had prayed, or tried to pray, for health and strength, if only to be spared to take care of my family, for I had read in the Word of God that what we ask, believing, we shall receive; but I denied my own faith in the power of God to heal the sick, by employing physicians and using remedies prepared mortal mortal man. Finally the doctors said they could do no more for me, and I came home none the better for all their skill. It was then I turned to Christian Science as a last resort, and thereby I have found the true and living God. I Know He has done for me what mortal man failed to do and could not do. I praise His holy name for what He has done for me, and I wish to add my hearfelt gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, the one who has been the Wayshower in this age to the true God.
