MISREPRESENTATIONS REFUTED

Ashtabula (O.) Beacon-Record

Mrs. Mary Baker G. Eddy, the author of Science and Health, and Founder of the Christian Science movement, has departed from her usual custom about replying to criticisms, and has given out a statement in which she refutes the misrepresentations as to her family and herself which figured in a recent magazine article, purporting to deal with the facts of her early home and her life. It looks as though her enemies had been hard pressed for material with which to try to detract from the honor and influence of Mrs. Eddy when they resorted to these methods. Such attacks only serve to injure those who resort to them.
