For the encouragement of another mother I will give...

For the encouragement of another mother I will give facts, as we fully realized them at the birth of our last child. The day previous I did my usual amount of work, sewing on the machine, sweeping, and some extra washing, just as I have always been privileged to do. My practitioner was at our house on the 3rd of May, 1904, and at eleven o'clock I left the nursery, thinking it best to retire to my room. Soon there was fear, and mortal mind manifested in pain. but this was of very short duration in comparison to that at the time of our oldest child's birth under materia medica. At this time, with the canopy of Love over us, our little daughter, then nearly three years old, took her usual noon rest, and was sound asleep by my side when at half past one her new baby sister was first heard.

We had telephoned to the physician (who had been engaged, as State law requires, for the registration), but divine Love, the only power, had met all our need, for the demonstration was complete. When the physician did arrive, at three o'clock, he said. "All is right; and I have nothing to do." The next afternoon I sat up in a large chair for my dinner, and I was soon entirely normal and free. When baby was twelve days old I was privileged to attend our Christian Science church service. In sincerest gratitude did I thank God that Sabbath morn, for His loving care and protection as promised to us in the 91st Psalm. Let us continually praise our God for this Science of Christ, which gives us the understanding of Truth and Love.—IDELLA HAINES BUZBY, Philadelphia, Pa.
