In 1899, while visiting a relative in Buffalo, N. Y., who was a Christian Scientist, I was treated for a serious ailment and healed. This was my first knowledge of Christian Science. From early childhood I had suffered greatly with weak eyes, and as the years advanced the trouble grew worse, until finally, about 1897, I was told that I had no sight at all in one eye and very little in the other. I had been treated by the best oculists, but without any beneficial results, and had not a ray of encouragement. I was wearing two pairs of glasses and even then was unable to read or sew. This was my condition when I began to take Christian Science treatment, and in three weeks I had discarded the glasses and could easily read large print. When I returned home, having been absent about three months, I could read small print and was able to do any fine needlework. During the six years since, I have been relieved of many other physical troubles and now rely wholly upon Christian Science. My gratitude must be measured accordingly. —MRS. M. B. THOMPSON, Birmingham, Ala.
