AMONG THE CHURCHES
Louisville Christian Scientists, who have during the past year been meeting in the hall at 748 Fourth Avenue, are at last to have a real church. The fact was made public by the sale yesterday to First Church of Christ, Scientist. of the property at 1230 Third Avenue. The property has a frontage of forty feet on Third Avenue. and two hundred and sixty-three feet north of Oak Street. It is the purpose of the trustees of the church to make extensive alterations and remodelings in the present building, adding a large annex to the rear and transforming the whole building into an auditorium. The work will be begun immediately, and it is thought that the church will be completed about Feb. I.
The Courier Journal.
One who is friendly to Christian Science volunteered a temporary loan to enable the building committee to purchase the property and go ahead with the proposed improvements without delay. A substantial amount for the building fund was subscribed by the members at a late meeting.
