A beautiful demonstration of the truth brought to us...
A beautiful demonstration of the truth brought to us in Christian Science came to me recently. I took an early train from Lynn to Boston on a Monday morning, and the car in which I sat. being one of the last of a long train, stopped outside the station on its arrival in Boston. In getting off the car the brakeman assisted me. and I stepped down without noticing that we were on a trestle. My foot slipped partly between the planks, and immediately material sense told me I was hurt, and that I could not walk. A friend took one arm, the brakeman the other, and helped me to the platform. After thanking the brakeman for his assistance and assuring him that I was not hurt, I stood still for a moment, and in that moment the Christ, Truth, spoke to my consciousness, and I was able to deny the false sense of things and assert the true. I straightened myself and moved my foot firmly, then walked in the consciousness that "Mind produces all action" (Science and Health, p. 419) and thanking God for the revelation of Love that Mrs. Eddy has brought to us. When I arrived at my destination and commenced the study of the Lesson-Sermon for the next Sunday, the first reference in Science and Health (p. 332) stood out like an angel. "Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness." The Christ had spoken to me.
