It is now four years since I was directed to Christian Science by a kind friend, and was given peace and happiness. I was suffering from a growth on my breast, which caused me much fear and pain, and the worry from it was telling my face. At this juncture a friend came in, and seeing me so distressed asked if I would not like to try Christian Science. I knew nothing about it, but that moment I began to have hope and faith. She asked a friend to treat me, and I laid aside the material remedies and commenced to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In one week's time the lump had gone, and the worry lines had left my face. Since that time I have never doubted God's healing power, and know He is ever ready and willing to help us; but there came a time when I thought I would rather that my friends did not know I was studying Christian Science, as they might criticise and make remarks. As I received the spiritual understandign, however, this feeling all left me, and now I am happy to be numbered among Christian Scientists. I have had many beautiful demonstrations of the power of Truth over error. After reading Science and Health a short time I was able to lay aside glasses, which I had worn nearly three years. I am truly grateful to Mrs. Eddy. I know the way will become brighter as I gain a clearer understanding of the truth that has come to us through her.—Margaret Mitchell, St. Paris, O.
