I always had a desire to understand the truth as Jesus taught it, and to follow in his footsteps, but until a year and a half ago I found no church that followed the whole of Jesus' teachings. In my search I had studied all religions, and finally became a member of an orthodox church. I had been an invalid for many years, being under the care of noted specialists for over ten years, and had been pronounced to be suffering from incurable bladder, kidney, and spinal trouble. The physicians had been most kind and had taken much thought to cure me, but after an operation lasting an hour and twenty minutes, from which only temporary relief came, I gave up trying, thinking I never should be a well woman. All this time I never ceased to search for God and to prove His words true, but failed until a lady came to room with me who is a Christian Scientist. I thank God for having met her, for she gave me Christian Science literature and I knew I had found the truth. After studying for a few months I was taken with a severe attack of bladder trouble, with complications, and felt that now I must prove my new-found faith. A practitioner was called, and with the first treatment the fever was destroyed and the suffering much relieved. I slept splendidly all night, and the next morning was able to be up. After the third treatment I was able to walk to her office, which was about ten blocks distant. I had seven treatments, and am healed of the bladder and kidney troubles and others equally serious, and know I shall be every whit whole. I cannot speak my gratitude; words cannot express it, but daily I thank God that I found Christian Science, and I thank our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us Science and Health. It is a joy to study the Bible with such a "key" to unlock its meaning. I am happy indeed to be able to send this testimony, trusting it will help another to seek and find the peace and joy and love which have come to me.
