About a year and a half ago I was persuaded by a friend to try Christian Science, as I was then sick in bed and had been for three months or more,—a perfect wreck. I had about given up all hope of being any better, for I had tried the very best physicians, also osteopathy, electricity, and finally went to a sanitarium, but came home no better. As a last resort I said to my friend that I was willing to try Christian Science, and she sent for a practitioner. When the practitioner came into the room I felt that I would be helped, but I told her I had never had any faith and had always been a great scoffer. She was, however, willing to help me, and I know that God through her saved my life. After the first treatment I felt better, and after about five I was able to walk downstairs alone. I did not yield to the truth as quickly as some, but I feel satisfied and know that I have been helped wonderfully.
