Christ Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"—free from the bonds of anxiety, discouragement, and weakness, and alive to the knowledge that we "can do all things" through Christ, Truth, which strengtheneth us. About three years ago I was veritably in the "house of bondage"—bondage to the cruel taskmaster of extreme nervous conditions, and to mental depression, being utterly incapacitated for study or work of any kind. In this lamentable condition Christian Science was brought to me by a loving messenger of the truth. Through her faithful and indomitable ministrations in the face of the most discouraging obstacles, I was brought out of a land of Egyptian darkness into the glorious consciousness of God's sunlight—the promised land of Christian Science. Words are but paltry and inadequate to express the heart's gratitude for Christian Science, this twentieth-century blessing, this heavenly manna which so invigorates the weak that they are enabled to be a support instead of a burden.

Aside from this beautiful demonstration there have been many other manifestations in our family of the power of this great truth; and my heart goes out in gratitude to divine Love, to the revealer of this "pearl of great price," to the dear Leader whose love, patience, and faithfulness have never wavered, never failed.
