Last December I was attacked with severe rheumatic trouble. The attack began gradually, and continued during three of four weeks, until I was laid up. At the end of a week in bed the pain was so acute that I could not turn over. The loss of time from my work also worried me considerably. We had had evidence of good work by Christian Science in the household of a neighbor, and though we understood little or nothing of the treatment, I was persuaded to call a practitioner. She gave me absent treatment, and the same afternoon I got up, with hardly any effort, and during the afternoon carried in the day's wood. That was a Friday; on the following Monday I returned to my work. I did not see the practitioner until Sunday. Altogether the treatment lasted a week, and there has been no return of the trouble, though I have been much exposed during the rainy season. Since this demonstration I have been greatly interested in the study of Christian Science, and am having my little girl taught in the local Christian Science Sunday School.—W. A. Davis, Napa, Cal.
