For some time it has been my desire to tell the readers of the Sentinel the many benefits I have received from Christian Science, physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually. For fifteen years I had tried all material means for the healing of catarrhal trouble, which kept me in a weakly, debilitated state, but after being treated a short time in Christian Science I was healed of it; also of bowel trouble and varicose veins. From childhood I had been of a gloomy, despondent nature, but my friends now perceive the great change that has come over me, and this leads them to make inquiries as to the cause. I am thankful to tell them that it is all through Christian Science. That for which I am most grateful is the light which has come to me and revealed to me what God is, for prior to my knowledge of Christian Science I was in such mental darkness that life was indeed a burden; but now, thanks to God, through dear Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, I feel a peace and a joy that I never expected to find on earth. I gladly send this message, that hope and help may come to others who need this blessed truth even as I did.—Ella L. Babcock, Alameda, Cal.
