I am glad to give to the Field my testimony for what Christ, Truth, has done for me and mine. We had a wonderful demonstration of the power of Truth, when our little boy, six years old, jumped out of a window on the second floor, about ten or twelve feet from the ground. In two weeks he was taken very ill and the doctor pronounced it a serious affection of the brain; he said he never saw a child in such a terrible condition. He also said he had no hope of his ever being well, that if he lived he would be mentally deficient; but, thanks to God and to Christian Science as taught by dear Mrs. Eddy, the boy is well and is as bright as any child I ever knew. My husband was the one who called the physician and I called a Christian Science practitioner. I did not give any medicine, but read in Science and Health, also the Lesson in the Quarterly, as the little boy wanted me to do so. The child was well in less than one week. This is only one of the many demonstrations over error that have come to us. I was greatly helped at the birth of a child. I had absent treatment for some months previous and had corresponded with the practitioner. Her letters to me were most helpful. I had no fear and worked hard, besides reading what time I had to spare. The baby was born one Friday evening and by eight o'clock next morning I got up and dressed, and did all my own work right along. Surely all will say with me that it was a victory for truth, as instruments were used at the birth of my two other children, prior to this occasion. Our baby is now sixteen months old and has never needed medicine as she has been in good health all of this time. I am in the very best of health and have been; not one discord has appeared. I am very thankful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine.—Mrs. Vada L. Webb, Blue Creek, O.
