When Christian Science came to me I was a chronic sufferer from rheumatic trouble, having had it from childhood in various forms; and I had never been free from pain any length of time, as physicians were able to give me only temporary relief. As I grew older the disease assumed more aggravated forms, finally seeming to affect the heart.

For nearly two years the left hand and arm was almost helpless, and a continued use of it, even in sewing, would increase the heart trouble so that my life was threatened many times. I also had severe nervous and bowel troubles. I was, however, perfectly healed in two weeks, by Christian Science, and from that time on was able to do work and endure exposure that had never been possible to me before. I was healed in 1886 and still enjoy the best of health.
