Five years ago I was healed of an abnormal growth, also of bowel trouble. Before coming to Christian Science for healing, I had tried many material methods,—materia medica, massage, electricity, etc.,—then I was told that I must have an operation. Thinking that this was the only thing to do, and being a widow, with no relatives to leave my children with here, I took my four little ones and started for California, to be with a sister who had offered to nurse me in the hospital at Los Angeles. I was going to leave the children with another sister, who lived at that time at Madeira, Cal. On the way there I stopped to see another sister, who lived near Denver, Col., and she urged me to try Christian Science. When I arrived at my sister's at Madeira, I went no farther. There I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner in Chicago. I had absent treatment, and was healed. I had left my home in South Dakota in September, and in the following March I returned a well woman. I can truthfully testify that I am a well woman. I can do all kinds of work with greater ease than ever before.

Words fail to express my thankfulness to God for this healing; also for the spiritual understanding of the Science of our being, that I have gained through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.—Mrs. Lydia Armstrong, Brookings, S. D.
