Christian Scientists plead guilty to the fact that they have not established any hospitals, asylums, etc. Their activity has been along the lines of keeping people out of these places, and getting them out after they get in, and they know that their present efforts on behalf of suffering humanity are being appreciated.

The influence of Christian Science is decidedly for good, to the outsider its works are for the elevation of mankind, and—who among us is sure of salvation? Who leads an absolutely pure, self-sacrificing, Christ-like life? It is for him to criticise, if he will; but for the rest of us to realize that a man's opinion is his own.
