A Turning-Point

I HAVE been told that at the crest of the great Continental Divide which separates the waters of the Atlantic from those of the Pacific, there is a point where the slightest influence, even the breath of a summer zephyr, will determine whether a drop of water shall mingle with the broad Pacific, or become a part of the great ocean on the opposite side of the world. The direction having been determined, however, the drop of water starts on its long course, over boulder and precipice, and every hour separates it farther and farther from its old environment, and makes it more impossible for it to turn back and follow another course.

It often happens that a needy sufferer is found in the Position of the raindrop at the summit of the mountain. It may be only a thought or a word spoken at the right time that is needed to give direction to his course. The start once having been made, however, each advance step makes it the more difficult for him turn back.

The Wednesday evening meeting is often this turning Point Here we constantly find those who are hungering for Truth, who are ready to grasp anything that offers relief to sick and suffering humanity, and all Christian Scientists can aid in determining the right course for such honest hearts, by telling publicly in these meetings what God has done for them and theirs through Christian Science.
