Foxcroft, Maine, June 24, 1904.

Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy, Pleasant View, Concord, N. H.

Dear Leader:—On the 17th inst., there occurred a most interesting event at Fryeburg, Maine. At that time and place a memorial stone and tablet, to mark the battlefield of Pequawket, or Lovewell's Fight, was dedicated. The tablet was placed there by the Society of Colonial Wars. Inasmuch as Captain John Lovewell, the hero of this fight, was your great-great-grandfather, you may be interested in the account of the dedication ceremonies. It gives me much pleasure to send you a program of same herewith, also newspapers (under separate cover) containing detailed account of the exercies. Sincerely yours,
