It is now five years since I began to investigate Christian Science, and I have found that even a limited understanding of it, if rightly applied, can help us under all circumstances. I have found in God, Truth, a friend who never forsakes me. It is a religion to be lived every day, and in proportion as we live it, do we derive benefits therefrom.
I would like to relate a case of healing by Christian Science. My little boy, a Child of five years, was taken with what the doctor called cystitis. There was great inflammation, the parts were discolored, and the child's suffering was very great. Salves and ointments were used for three days, but all to no good. The doctor said the only relief he could give was to perform an operation, and this we positively refused to have done.
Having a slight knowledge of Christian Science my husband advised giving the case to one of our pioneer practitioners, and to our delight the child was greatly relieved in two treatments. We had the treatment continued for two weeks, at the end of which time we gave up the practitioner and the child has never had a trace of the symptoms since, and that was two years ago.
