A Donation Acknowledged

Pleasant View, Concord, N. H., June 21, 1904.

Mr. Fred N. Ladd, Treasurer Building Fund, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, N. H.

Dear Mr. Ladd:—Our dear Leader has received the enclosed envelope containing forty dollars (two twenty dollar notes) wrapped in the piece of plain brown paper, just as you see it, and no word of explanation. Not knowing what else to do with it, she directs me to hand it to you for the Concord Church, supposing it may have been intended for that purpose, by the modest donor. When you have entered the item in your account, will you please place upon this letter your official receipt of the amount, and return it to us? We will then pass it along to the Editor of the Christian Science Sentinel to be published, so that whoever sent it, if he be a reader of that paper, will know of its receipt and the disposition made of it.

In Mrs. Eddy's behalf, I remain,

Sincerely yours,

Geo. H. Kinter.
