With all my heart do I wish to express my sincere gratitude...
With all my heart do I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science.
In December, 1902, I had to submit to medical treatment, because I was severly afflicted with an abdominal disease, My condition grew constantly worse, and one day hemorrhage set in. The physician ordered me to remain in bed, which I did for about three months without noticing any improvement or change for the better. The physician then advised me to go to a clinical institution at the end of February, where they intended to perform some operation. This caused us a great deal of anxiety; yet it was again proved true that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."
Through my sister, who resides in another country, I was advised to try Christian Science. My dear ones immediately turned to a practitioner here, who visited me and gave me treatment. After the second treatment I began to feel better, and my condition constantly improved. After a short time I was able to be up, and during the third week was using my sewing machine. Our baby was born in July, and to my greatest joy and against all expectation, the birth was natural, without any medical assistance. Since then I feel quite well, and have no reason to complain. while formerly I had suffered constantly from abdominal pain.
