[Written for the Sentinel.]

Resolved

To know a little more of good each day;
To hourly cast some cherished sin away;
To give each thought to Love, and keep no part
Of any will of mine within my heart;
To do, without complaining, every task
Life gives to me, while pausing not to ask
The why or wherefore; just Thy will to know,
Trusting in Thee to guide me as I go,
Father.—these heights my heart would climb to Thee
By holding fast to thine infinity.
