Not for physical healing did I at first become interested...
Not for physical healing did I at first become interested in Christian Science, thought I have experienced many beautiful and instantaneous demonstrations of the power of Truth over error in this respect, but from the first moment that I read the words of the "little book," Science and Health, I knew it was the truth for which I had all my life been longing. Three years ago last March I first heard the words that set me free from false belief in material gods, and at the present time I desire to express my deep gratitude and appreciation for Christian Science,—the truth that is setting at liberty "all nations, and kindreds, and peoples, and tongues."
Words fail to express my apprectiation for the Christian Science literature, and the many testimonies of healing in the Sentinel and Journal are a wonderful help to me, but more especially do I prize the words that now and then appear in them from our beloved Leader. Her letter to the teachers in the Sentinel of October 31 was especially impressive to me. Such words of love, wise counsel, and timely admonition are an unalloyed blessing. I desire to assimilate her teaching and grow thereby, and so be able to demonstrate for myself and others the glorious truth as taught by this faithful friend,—"so kind and true and tender." God bless dear Mrs. Eddy, is the sentiment that comes welling up from a deep sense of love and gratitude.
