I should like to tell of a little demonstration that may help some other mother in kindred need. My boy, aged fifteen, attended a school where an infectious child's disease had made its appearance, and one morning he showed all the symptoms of the sickness. I helped him to meet it with the truth of Christian Science, but my chief fear was for the younger children, and for a little time it was very great. Then I took up Science and Health, and studied it till I gained some sense of these words, "Mortals can never understand God's creation while believing that man is a creator" (p. 69). When I saw how the mother fear goes out to the children and brings them into the bonds of sickness, Truth at once released them, and gave them the "liberty of the children of God." I found that I could hold all the household, three of whom did not belong to the family, in the same sweet sense that God is the only creator and in a few days the sickness had completely disappeared from our home; no one having succumbed to the fear of infection.

It was a great lesson to me, and I commenced dimly to understand how our fears bind our beloved ones, and that Christ, Truth, is continually saying, "Loose him, and let him go." Many times since, when my children have been away from me,—at school, or holiday making,—I have turned my anxious thought for their safety into glad recognition that God is the only creator, and all His children are safe in His care.

During the last five years we have had many demonstrations in our home of the wonderful power of Christ, Truth, over all forms of error, and my heart goes out in loving gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her unselfed love to all mankind.—H. M. V., Sydney, N. S. W.
