In August, 1893, I first heard of Christian Science, bought Science and Health, and began to study. In 1894 I had the privilege of class instruction, and while going through the class I was healed of grief caused by our only child passing away two months before.
I have had many demonstrations which prove to me that Christian Science is the truth that Jesus taught.
I had throat trouble ever since I was a child, and was healed in a week's time by reading Science and Health and realizing God's allness, and have never had it since. A lady asked for treatment who had rheumatism, and whom the doctors had given up, saying she would never walk down town again. In three weeks' treatment she was entirely healed. A gentleman who had diabetes was healed in two weeks' treatment. A young man who had typhoid fever was healed in one treatment, and got up and ate his supper with his family. A lady had her shoulder out of place and wrote for treatment. She had a doctor set it, but in three days took the bandage off, and said she felt no pain from the time treatment began. A little boy fell from a swing and broke his collar bone. His parents were Scientists, but the father was away from home so the mother sent for Science help, as she did not want a doctor, and desired to trust in Truth alone. In four days the child could use his arm, and in a short time was all right.
