I am so grateful to God for Christian Science and for what it has done for me that I should like to express my gratitude through our periodicals. This religion came to me five years ago at a time of disillusionment and heartache which I experienced when I was left alone and had two boys to bring up.

Because of the understanding which comes through studying Christian Science faithfully and persistently, I was able to overcome resentment and bitterness and to follow Jesus' command (Matt. 5:44), "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." I learned that our only real relative is God, who guards, guides, and protects us.

Many times I have proved the truth of Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." My first physical healing, which was that of influenza, came so suddenly through the help of a Christian Science practitioner that even though the day was dark and cold, my consciousness was filled with light.
