My gratitude to God increases each time I witness or experience a healing in Christian Science. My parents, both students of Christian Science, enrolled me in Sunday School at an early age. Valuable truths, for which I shall always be grateful, were learned there.

Many years ago I was healed of anemia. At the request of a member of my family, I submitted to a medical diagnosis. The physician's verdict was that I was in a serious condition and must take certain medicines regularly. However, this was not done. The help of a Christian Science practitioner was asked for, and treatment was given for a few weeks. At the end of that time, I was completely healed. No trace of the former symptoms remained, and the healing has been permanent.

My two sons have experienced remarkable healings of infected ears, a serious eye injury, concussions, a dogbite, and other difficulties. Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes this statement in Science and Health (p. 369):"The prophylactic and therapeutic (that is, the preventive and curative) arts belong emphatically to Christian Science, as would be readily seen, if psychology, or the Science of Spirit, God, was understood." I am learning that persistence in applying scientific prayer to every detail of our experience brings satisfying results.
