Activities for the Armed Services

As in many branches of The Mother Church, so also in The Mother Church there is a local Christian Science Armed Services Committee, whose work is to be helpful in practical ways to members and prospective members of the Armed Forces. One of the experienced workers on the Committee for The Mother Church recently prepared the following statement concerning the Committee's activities:

"Christian Scientists have in the words of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, specific guidance regarding their duty to those in military service. In her book 'Christian Science versus Pantheism,' she says to each of her followers (p. 14), 'In your peaceful homes remember our brave soldiers, whether in camp or in battle.'
