"THE LENS OF SCIENCE"

Christian Science reveals that Mind, God, is all-seeing and all-knowing. Man, who coexists with God, sees and knows by reflection. God is One and is All, and He sees all that exists. He is conscious of Himself and of His infinite manifestation. Mind's ideas are one with and inseparable from Mind.

Paul addressing the Ephesians as "the faithful in Christ Jesus" spoke of "the eyes of [their] understanding being enlightened" (1:1, 18). He evidently recognized spiritual understanding to be coincident with spiritual vision. Mary Baker Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 194), "The lens of Science magnifies the divine power to human sight; and we then see the supremacy of Spirit and the nothingness of matter."

One may ask, "How may I gain the ability to use 'the lens of Science' so as to see man and the universe as God's manifestation?" The study of Mrs. Eddy's writings and the practice of what we spiritually understand will lift thought out of the dream of life in matter into that consciousness which know God to be All, infinitely present, the one Life and the one lawmaker.
