GOD INSPIRES MAN

The creative worker in the field of art, literature, or music who is also a student of Christian Science has learned that talent and inspiration are God-given. The facts of spiritual creation recorded in the first chapter of Genesis reveal man as the image and likeness of God. When we acknowledge that Spirit, not matter, is the only real creative power, infinite possibilities of achievement unfold in our experience.

An inspiring example for the creative worker can be found in the life of Christ Jesus. His understanding of man's relationship to God is clearly shown in that familiar passage (John 5:30), "I can of mine own self do nothing."

Mary Baker Eddy's understanding of perfect God and perfect man as the basis of all right endeavor enabled her to establish The Mother Church and the world-wide movement of Christian Science. No individual of our age has written more fully and clearly on the subject of inspiration and achievement than has Mrs. Eddy. The person who studies her writings with the aid of the Concordances to these works will find fresh inspiration, a spontaneous and joyful approach to his work, and a certainty of God's direction and guidance.
