It is difficult to put twenty years...

It is difficult to put twenty years of gratitude for Christian Science into a few paragraphs of print, but I hope that this testimony may help someone else as I have so often been helped by the testimonies of others.

Before my husband and I began to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we were trying to run a small farm. We were inexperienced and had little money. Often I would work very hard all day and on going to bed would think: "Dear God, I've been so busy all day that I've hardly thought of You. I wish You seemed nearer."

With our study of Science and Health things began to change. God did seem much nearer and became our ever-present help in trouble. We and the natives on our farm had healings of illness and the effects of accidents. Our animals were healed of various injuries and diseases, and our crops were protected. Lost possessions were found, and we experienced protection during storms. All these things proved to us that we were gradually gaining an understanding of God's love and care.
