When my husband and I were married seventeen years ago, he was a student of Christian Science, but I was not at all interested in it. About eleven years ago, when our son was born, both the baby and I were in a critical condition. The baby could not retain any food because of a stomach disorder. He cried continuously and lost weight rapidly. I was under medical treatment for a nervous breakdown and other ailments.

One evening I decided to have my husband call a Christian Science practitioner for help. All medical treatment was discontinued, and in a short time the baby and I were both healed. Since that time our family has received many wonderful blessings through the application of Christian Science.

In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read (p. 410), "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger." Some time ago there appeared a skin disease on both my hands. They became infected to the extent that it was impossible for me to use them in any way. Prayerful work was taken up by a Christian Science practitioner, and many valuable lessons were learned on my part before the healing was complete. Finally, the disease entirely disappeared.
