Daily study of the current Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly and the inspiring articles in our periodicals give me a desire to express gratitude for God's goodness and love.

When a young girl, I desired very much to understand the Bible and to know a loving God, for I could not believe that our heavenly Father could send evil or suffering. When my family returned to the United States from another country, I attended different churches. However, I did not learn of the healing and ever-present Christ, and I was greatly in need of physical help at the time.

When Christian Science was introduced to me through a devout student who came to live in my home, I was led to ask help of a practitioner. After two short visits with this good worker I experienced much relief from suffering, indigestion, insomnia, and fear of lung trouble. All these were dispelled in a few weeks of earnest study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Even more wonderful to me at the time was the healing of a growth for which I had had two unsuccessful operations.
