Like the Psalmist, I can say with joy (Ps. 27:1), "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

I was at work one day when I had a most severe headache which would not yield despite my silent affirmations of truth. I finally telephoned my wife, and she drove down to the office for me and took me home. I went to bed, hardly able to remain conscious because of the pain. One side of my head and body became completely paralyzed.

Helped by my sister, who was visiting us at the time and who is an earnest student of Christian Science, my wife and I endeavored to work out this severe problem in Science by reading and studying. We tried to realize the nothingness of error and to establish the allness of God. We played Mrs. Eddy's hymns on a phonograph and found them a great aid in keeping our minds clear.
