Having been reared to believe that God punishes us for all we do wrong, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and being terror-stricken by what I believed to be the judgment day, I cannot describe both my relief and my happiness upon learning through Christian Science that God is Love. Before I had finished reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of weakness and fatigue after being in bed for three weeks. At the same time, I was healed of the need for wearing glasses. God's power was proved to me beyond all doubt.

My husband does a great deal of traveling. One evening when he was due to come home, I started to prepare dinner, but I felt an impulse to read Science and Health. After reading a short time, I had a definite feeling that all was well. When my husband returned, he said, "I have seen a miracle." Then he told of a near accident, in which it had appeared he would be involved. He could not explain how the car at fault could have missed hitting at least one of three cars. I inquired the time of the incident, and it was the same time I had observed when I finished reading.

The smoking and social drinking habits have been overcome, as well as many unlovely traits of character. Business conditions have improved, and a better sense of home has been realized. Physical difficulties believed incurable have been healed through Christian Science. I would like to tell of one in particular.
