THE VITAL OFFICE OF THE CHRIST
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, the great event was revealed first to the lowly shepherds keeping watch over their flocks beneath the nocturnal skies. And second, the great stir signalizing the coming of the Messiah was felt by the exalted Wisemen from the East.
From these facts do we not see an indication in advance of Jesus' actual ministry that the Christ was no respecter of persons? Rich or poor, high or low, Jew or Greek, bond or free, male or female, all are equally entitled to enjoy and to utilize the power of the eternal, living Christ.
Jesus, who was destined to reveal the Christ to humanity, was so inseparably united to the Christly message that he was known generally as Jesus the Christ, or as Christ Jesus. He was divinely endowed with wisdom and love far beyond anything the world had ever known.
