"The people that walked in darkness...

"The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: the that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined" (Isa. 9:2). This Bible truth describes my experience.

Main years ago I was ill with heart trouble and a nervous condition. A doctor who was called at that time informed my husband that I would live but a few weeks longer. However, through the work of a Christian Science practitioner and my reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed. After about three weeks spent in studying the textbook, I suddenly gained such a sense of God as All, the only Mind, that my thought became completely absent from the material body and all its troubles.

The consciousness of the presence of God was so powerful that I felt as though I were walking on air. I will never cease to be grateful to the friends who asked me on that occasion to try Christian Science and to the loving practitioner who gave me so much help.
