I pray as I write this testimony that the light of Truth will shine for someone who reads it and bless him with the hope, health, and happiness that Christian Science has brought into my life. This religion is indeed fulfilling the command of Christ Jesus (Matt. 10:8), "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."

Thirty years ago, after I had spent four years seeking help through medical means, I was told by a number of conscientious doctors, including specialists and surgeons, that all had been done that could be done to save my life. Cancer had necessitated the removal of an internal organ, and its symptoms were appearing elsewhere. Everything was done to check or cure it other than to use surgery again. The doctors frankly stated there was nothing to hope for from another operation.

The next week after my talk with the doctors, a stranger came to my home. She asked me if I would like to try Christian Science, which had healed her of cancer of the stomach. My reply was that I would try anything that offered me any relief, although I had never heard of Christian Science. She called a practitioner, who came to me as soon as possible.
