I wish to express my gratitude to God for the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy and for all that Christian Science has done for me and my loved ones. Many years ago I became interested in this Science, and through the help of a loving practitioner, I was instantaneously healed of a nervous condition. For this healing, I am indeed deeply grateful.

Some years ago I was healed of influenza. It was not a mild case, and I felt as though I were passing on. Then this angel thought came to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 393): "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man."

I arose, went downstairs, and read from the Bible and from Science and Health for half an hour. Then I started to do some of the work that needed to be done. Later I went back to those two books and studied for another half hour. At the end of the day, I was completely healed, and there were no aftereffects.
