THE POWER OF DIVINE LOVE

"No power can withstand divine Love," declares Mary Baker Eddy on page 224 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Says the Psalmist (Ps. 27:3,5): "Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. ... For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me." What a promise—man forever safe in God's loving care!

When God commanded Moses in the wilderness of Horeb to lead the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, He assured him (Ex. 3: 12), "Certainly I will be with thee." Then Moses inquired of God what he should say to the people if they asked, "What is his name?" The Bible relates that "God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."

I AM THAT I AM expresses the all-comprehensive character of Deity. God, I AM, omnipresent Love, leaves no room for another power.
