SUPPLY AND DEMAND

In the demonstration of Christian Science, we learn that in reality abundant supply is always available to meet demand. Because God is the source of all good, all must be in accord with His law of harmony. God being All and giving man all, there can never be a moment when man is isolated or apart from His law. Man is the object of God's giving.

An employed individual may feel completely satisfied that the salary he receives is commensurate with the service he is rendering. However, should he feel that the salary is inadequate, then God's law of abundant supply for every need can be proved operative as the individual increasingly purifies and clarifies his thought.

The same truth applies to an employer who is concerned because the salary he is paying seems too large for the service he is receiving. Mercy and justice are close allies, and we read in the Bible (Prov. 122:4), "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life." Righteous prayer invariably brings about a harmonious adjustment to human problems involving supply and demand.
