I wish to share my gratitude for Christian Science. Many times I have asked myself, "What would I do without it?" In childhood I was healed instantaneously of scarlet fever. Immediately after the practitioner was called, all symptoms of the disease disappeared.

Christian Science is a wonderful help in the rearing of our four sons. Our youngest son was born in our home with a Christian Science nurse in attendance. It appeared that the birth would not be harmonious and that the child's life was in danger, but a Christian Science practitioner held firmly to the truth of perfect man, with the result that the birth took place normally and safely. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." I shall always be grateful for the love and calmness expressed by the Christian Science nurse.

When this child was a few weeks old, he had trouble with his food. Apparently I needed to learn that the truth is man's real nourishment, for after I had prayed in great humility for guidance, the situation was beautifully corrected. Our beloved Leader's poem "Feed My Sheep" (Poems, p. 14) was a great inspiration in this experience.
