I should like to express my sincere gratitude for the healing power of Christian Science. This beautiful and practical religion has been in my family for over fifty years. I have seen so-called incurable diseases healed through the application of the truths contained in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

With the patient help of a practitioner I experienced a healing of a nervous breakdown. The healing came after a period of several months, during which I felt as though I were living in a dark and lonely world apart from everyone else. Some of the time I was helpless and had to be fed lying in bed.

One day the practitioner told me lovingly, but firmly, that I must take my stand for Truth. In my confused frame of mind I did not know clearly what to do, but I wanted to be obedient. After her visit I opened the Bible and just looked at the word "God," trying to realize what it meant. The next day I could read a few words more, and my joy was unbounded when I could again read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. My healing came with the reading of the entire lesson.
