A period of six or seven years of...

A period of six or seven years of illness in my experience resulted in a condition diagnosed as general poisoning of the system and ulceration of the stomach and intestines. The physician in attendance placed me on a strict liquid diet for about six months. A loss in bodily weight of some fifty pounds occurred, and there was no evidence of improvement. At that time the physician stated he had done all for me he possibly could.

I realized that help must come from elsewhere, and in a state of extreme discouragement I asked for Christian Science treatment from a practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal. After twelve treatments I was completely healed. That was about thirty years ago, and the healing has been permanent. Since that time I have had many other healings, including that of migraine headaches of long standing. In addition, I have experienced much help and protection in financial affairs.

I am grateful for our periodicals, which bring fresh inspiration with each issue. Our daily newspaper. The Christian Science Monitor, I appreciate and enjoy more each day. Membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and class instruction have given me a deeper sense of loyalty to the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy and to The Christian Science Board of Directors. I thank God for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave us Science and Health and other writings, which enable us to demonstrate the healing truths taught by Christ Jesus, our Way-shower.—(Mrs.) Muriel B.
